There are some minimum requirements

to become an AussieBoy

You need to...

1. be older than 18 months

2. have an acceptable hip score*

3. have your eyes cleared yearly (all clear)

4. have full dentition

5. have no severe or disqualifying faults according to the standard**

*AussieBoys accepts the following hip scores: OFA Good, OFA Excellent or FCI-rating HD A1, A2, B1 or B2 (or a score that equals this rating)

**e.g. no wrong bites and white body splashes. Check the ASCA breed standard, AKC breed standard and FCI standard for the Australian Shepherd

Please note:

Other tests are not compulsary to enter AussieBoys, but in case elbows, hearing and/or temperament are tested as well, a male can only enter or stay in the database if he has passed these tests with good results!

By the way: all MDR1 DNA-tests results are accepted, also sufferers, as they can be outcrossed with MDR1 free bitches. Please DO mention the test result.

Eyes have to be cleared yearly! Please don't forget to inform AussieBoys about eye and other health updates, otherwise you might risk that your boy eventually will be removed from the database!
